Nexus Resort Karambunai, Sabah, Malaysian Borneo

Nexus Resort Karambunai will be organizing its first open dart championship from 28 – 30 November 2008. The event is offering a total cash prize of RM26,000 for the Team Event, Men Single and Ladies Single.

The Philippines National Team has confirmed their participation in the championship during a visit to Nexus Resort recently. The team won big at the recent Bullshooter Asia Macau 2008 tournament clinching the top prize in the Team Event, Men’s Triples 701, Women’s Hammer Cricket, Men’s Top Gun and Women’s Top Gun with a few other well placed finishes. The confirmed Philippines team members coming to Nexus Resort this November are Lourence G. Ilagan, Robert U. Calupit, Ramon M. Sabalboro, Ronaldo S. Andrade and Analiza L. Awitan.

They were accompanied by Encik Sazali Abdul Rahman representing the Malaysia Dart Federation and two other darters from Sarawak who they had competed with at the 1st Labuan Open Tiger Dart Challenge.

The event is targeting 40 teams from all over Malaysia, Brunei, Japan and the Philippines. The winner in the Team Event will walk away with the top cash prize of RM10,000, the Men Single with RM1,500 and the Ladies Single with RM1,200.

The cash prizes offered to the top winners are very attractive indeed and I look forward to an exciting competition.”
