Nexus Resort Named Asean Green Hotel

Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai were among 10 Malaysian hotels that received the Asean Green Hotel Award during the Asean Tourism Forum (ATF) 2010 held in Brunei earlier this week, which saw 155 hotel recipients this year.

The Asean Green Hotel Standard is one of the six Asean Tourism standards. An Asean Green Hotel is an environmentally friendly hotel which adopts energy conservation measures, based on the 11 criteria and 25 requirements of the Asean Green Hotel Standard. The award is given annually to hotels and industry owners by the Tourism Minister of the respective Asean country, usually in conjunction with the Asean Tourism Forum. The award is valid for two years. This is the second time that Nexus Resort has been presented this prestigious award during the ATF 2008 held in Bangkok, Thailand.
