Nexus Resort brings Hari Raya joy to Hospital Likas

The management and staff of Nexus Resort Karambunai visited the Pediatric Clinic at Hospital Likas recently to bring some Hari Raya joy to the children there. Forty children and their parents enjoyed a magic show and clowns who entertained the children with their antics and balloon tricks.

The Director of Hospital Likas, Dr Haji Razak bin Tambi was on hand to welcome Group General Manager of Nexus Resort, Mr Peter Sprenger and staff to the hospital. “It is good to have events like this for the children because they really love it,” says Dr Haji Razak. “Many of the children, especially those with Thalassaemia who have to come to the hospital every month for blood transfusion, have to spend long periods of time receiving treatment at the hospital. Visits are always encouraged as it gives them something to look forward to and to cheer them up.”

After the show, Mr Sprenger and staff of Nexus Resort served lunch to the children as they continued to enjoy the clowns and receive balloons shaped into hats, flowers and teddy bears. Each child was given a green packet or ‘duit raya’ before the Nexus team went to the children’s ward to visit the other children who could not join in.

Nexus Resort management staff who participated in the visit included Ms Peggy Chee (Human Resource Manager), Mr Arif Billah (Resident Manager for VSNRK), Mr Brendan Wong (Director of Sales & Marketing), Ms Lily Khoo (Director of Sales), Mr Albert Chew (Front Office Manager), Ms Latha Krishnan (Reservations Manager), Ms Pamela Fletcher (PR & Communications Manager) and Mr Ngaviono Hj Satimin (Assistant Security & Safety Manager).
