Nexus Resort Karambunai, Sabah, Malaysian Borneo

Participation in the first Nexus Resort Karambunai Sabah Open Dart Championship 2008 this coming 28 November is starting to heat up. The event will see some exciting action with top darters from the region competing in the championship. So far, the Philippines National Team has confirmed their participation which they did during a visit to the resort in July. Teams from Brunei, Singapore, Labuan, Peninsula Malaysia, Sarawak and Sabah have joined in the fray bringing the total number so far to 31 teams.

Datuk Robin Loh, patron of the Nexus Sabah Open Dart Championship says, “Interest in the event picked up considerably over the last one month with promotional trips made to Labuan and recently to Malacca during the Malaysia Open Dart Challenge. The Nexus Sabah Open Dart Championship will be offering RM26,000 is cash prizes with RM10,000 being the top prize for the Men Team event. Winner of the Men Single event will take home RM1,500 and RM1,200 for the Ladies Single”.

Registration forms are being distributed via hard copies as well as posted on its official website where it can be downloaded and e-mailed back to the organizer to confirm participation. Accommodation and airport transfers are packaged at attractive conditions for the convenience of participants who will be staying at the resort. Mr Peter Sprenger; Group General Manager of Nexus Resort the Organizing Chairperson said in the presence of the representative from Carlsberg the official sponsor for the event.
