Nexus Resort Karambunai presents birthday cake to Sabah Head of State

In conjunction with the official birthday of Sabah Head of State, Tun Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Ahmadshah bin Abdullah, a specially designed cake was presented to him by Nexus Resort Karambunai. Representing Nexus Resort at the event were Brendan Wong, Director of Sales & Marketing, Albert Jan Vasseur, Executive Assistant Manager and a team of 4 chefs led by Executive Chef Junious Dickerson.

Drawing inspiration from abstract art, the 25kg fruit cake base was topped with 4 tiers each featuring smaller cakes of orange cheesecake, pandan, kueh lapis and yam. Various structures made of chocolate pralines were balanced on these individual cakes to create a surreal expression of futuristic design. This relates to Sabah’s aspirations to move forward in the present millennium and to think out of the box in making bold decisions for its future. We wish our Head of State many more years of prosperity and leadership on this special occasion.
