Nexus Resort Supports Earth Hour 2010

Kota Kinabalu, March 2010 – Nexus Resort is about to go dark. But just for an hour – and for a good cause.

For the second year, Nexus Resort & Spa Karambunai will participate in Earth Hour 2010, the global environmental awareness event created by the World Wide Fund (WWF). Since the beginning of March, the WWF team has setup a booth at Nexus Resort’s main lobby to educate Nexus Resort’s guests on the importance of caring for the planet.

“In addition to turning off exterior lights for one hour starting 8:30pm on 27th March 2010, we will be celebrating Earth Hour 2010 with a candlelight gathering, cultural dance performance and a specialty “Earth” cocktail.” said Ms. Norafida Ramlee, the resort’s Marcom Manager. Guests staying at the resort will be also encouraged to turn off the lights in their rooms.

Available for one hour only, the “Earth” cocktail will be served exclusively at the Sunset Bar & Grill for every guest who comes with a candle. The Earth-inspired mixture contains a refreshing blend of “montoku”, orange juice, pineapple juice and grenadine.


Ms. Norafida Ramlee, Marcom Manager of Nexus Resort with Mr. William Tan – Branch Manager,  Ms. Naveta Ontodok – Team Leader and Ms. Pauline Mihusu – Field Executive from Asian Support Direct Sdn. Bhd., the fundraising and marketing arm for WWF Malaysia.
