Nexus Resort Karambunai featured in newest culinary book

A Taste of Borneo Paradise, a recipe book presented with a refreshingly innovative photographic design was recently launched by Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister, Datuk Masidi Manjun at a leading hotel in Kota Kinabalu.

In his speech, he congratulated the writer, editor and photographer of the book, Nancy Koh, for producing a recipe book that captures perhaps one of the most popular past-times of Malaysia – eating! And why not, as Malaysia has such a diverse variety of cultures and each has its own significant dishes that represents it unique culinary history.

Among the 70 representatives of State tourism players who attended the launch was Datuk Robin Loh, CEO of Karambunai Corp Berhad, Mr Peter Sprenger, General Manager and Mr Albert Jan Vasseur, Executive Assistant Manager of Nexus Resort Karambunai.

Altogether 10 chefs from Nexus Resort Karambunai, led by Executive Chef Junious Dickerson, contributed inspiring recipes that infuses the sophistication of fine dining with the rustic flavours of local produce. There are 20 recipes from starters to main courses and desserts, each passionately created to take full advantage of Sabah’s fresh natural ingredients. The Resort is in the process of compiling its recipes from the book into a special menu to be introduced at its award-wining fine dining restaurant, Olives, very soon.
