Super ‘G’ takes the champion trophy at the Malaysian Open

Super ‘G’ emerged champion in the Team Event after a nail-biting final at the 29th Malaysian Open Darts Championship. They narrowly beat Callyn’s Madhouse 8-6 in an epic 2 hour show that kept the spectator on the edge of their seats.

Coming in joint third and fourth were Kitchen A who lost to Callyns Madhouse and Segau-Seagu Super Limbang who succumbed to Super G in the quaterfinals.

Callyn’s Madhouse comprising of teammates S Selbaraju, Jasvender Singh, Keshminder Singh, Rosidi Puasa and Juhairi Jukin trounced Kitchen A with a score of 7-1. Meanwhile, Lourence Ilagan, Ronald Briones, Robert Caludit, Rolando Andrade and Randy J. Mirabueno of team Super ‘G’ from Singapore beat Segau-Segau Super Limbang also by a 7-1 socre.
Kitchen A was represented by Shaid Daim, Lim Seng Hin, Clarines Joseph, Mohd Yusri Sahat and Freddie Ch’ng and Segau-Segau Super Limbang by Ronald Jawan, Zakawi Abas, Abdul Razak Rahman, Abdul Laip Mail and Avari Suboh.

Prizes to the winners were handed out by Mr Peter Sprenger, Group General Manager of Nexus Resort Karambunai and Mr Dharam Singh, President of the Malaysian Dart Federation. The 2nd Chance Team Event is still in progress and the results will be announced tomorrow.
Registration for the Men Single to be played tomorrow closed this afternoon with 512 participants. Registration for the Ladies Single will close at 10.00am on July 5 and both single finals are expected to be played by 5.00pm.
